Preparing for Labor: Understanding Induction Procedures

This 2-part discussion group is designed to help expectant parents better understand the induction process and feel more prepared for the possibilities surrounding labor and birth. Through evidence-based education and supportive discussion, participants will learn about common reasons induction may be recommended, the various methods used to encourage labor, what to expect throughout the induction process, and strategies for preparing both physically and emotionally. Together, we will explore questions to ask your care team, discuss comfort measures and coping techniques, and review ways to support informed decision-making throughout your birth experience. Whether induction is already planned or simply a possibility, this series will help you approach your birth with greater knowledge, confidence, and flexibility.

This two-part series will meet for 2 consecutive weeks on Zoom:

  • Tuesday, July 7, 12:00pm EDT/11:00am CDT

  • Tuesday, July 14, 12:00pm EDT/11:00am CDT
